Two employees of Marshalls a major manufacturer of landscape materials and a long standing technical partner of Rock Oil, are to drive across Europe in a gruelling 96-hour round trip rally from Calais to Turin in a bid to raise £100,000 for The Prostate Cancer Charity. The 'Italian Job' rally will have a number of vehicles (predominantly mini's not suprisingly) leaving the UK on the 23rd of June and arrving in Turin on the 26th.
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the passing of our former technical manager, Roger Swallow. Roger who was 69, passed away at home on Thursday the 9th of June. Not only had he worked for Rock Oil for over 10 years, he had a further 40 years within the lubricants industry and was extremely popular and very well respected by all who met him.
At 09.40 yesterday morning (19/04/11) an electrical fire broke out on the blending platform at Rock Oil, Priestley Street, Warrington. Thanks to the professionalism of the highly trained staff whom contained the outbreak and the rapid and skilled response from the emergency fire service, a major catastrophe was avoided.
