The 2015 Mid Cheshire Scooter Rally was held earlier this month to great success. A Rock Oil sponsored event, the MCCSR is organised and run by the Rotary Club of Northwich Vale Royal. Supporting very worthy causes such as Macmillan’s cancer care, Samaritans, Girl Guides and Amplify, a local youth programme encouraging young people into music. The third rally since 2013, it has gone from strength to strength and grown in popularity exponentially.
The rally is a celebration of all things Scooter and Mod, with era appropriate music during the day and live bands in the evening. The highlight of the event is the custom and classic scooter show where aficionados display their custom rides. As well as the scooters on show, the rally hosts a very popular beer festival, a variety of food and shop stalls, a miniature steam railway and other entertainment including a roll-a-dice competition. At the inaugural rally, the roll-a-dice prize was a restored scooter in Rock Oil colours. This year the prize was a brand new GTS 300. A fantastic success throughout; even a rain shower did nothing to dampen the weekend and the attendees had a fantastic time. Here's to the next rally!
