Round five of the Rock Oil sponsored MCE British Superbikes Championship kicks off this weekend at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife, Scotland's national Motorsport centre.
Riding for RAF Reserves BMW Rock Oil supported rider Peter Hickman will be racing hard to get back to a podium finish, we're hoping that the soaring temperature hitting the UK carries over into his success for the weekend! In the support classes Rock sponsored teams Gearlink Kawasaki, Morello Racing and Motodex BMW are sure to be making the most of the weekend to maintain their respective positions. With Glenn Irwin achieving position 2 in the Supersport standings after round 4 at Snetterton for Gearlink Kawasaki and Josh Elliott in first position with 110 points for the Superstock 1000.
The event begins on Friday 3rd July with a series of warm up sessions, with qualifiers and support races on the Saturday. The main raceday features support class racing and two feature races for the MCE British Superbike Championship. The support classes include the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship, Pirelli National Superstock 1000 and 600, Hyundai Heavy Industries British Sidecars, Ducati Tri-Options Cup, HEL Performance British Motostar and the Santander Consumer Finance KTM RC 390 British Junior Cup.
