The Cardiff Speedway Grandprix last weekend brought home some great results for Rock Oil supported riders Tai Woffinden and Darcy Ward. It's been just over a year since Tai's injury where he fractured his collar bone back at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium. This time he brought it home to the 50,000+ crowd by roaring into second place with a total of 18 points in the overall standings. Aussie hero Darcy Ward reached a podium finish of third following Tai with 15 in the British GP results. With the current world championship standings occupied by Tai Woffinden in first place with 90 points with Darcy Ward in third with 75.
With five rounds of the championship remaining, we hope both Tai and Darcy continue their fine form as the Speedway World Title is decided.
Tai has also challenged himself this year to raise a staggering £100,000 for the Great Ormond Street Hospital. A world renowned hospital dedicated to helping children with rare, complex and often life threatening illnesses. Tai is calling on all of his fans to donate whatever they can on his just giving page. This is a fantastic cause and we wish Tai the best of luck in reaching his goal.
