With John McGuinness taking the 2012 Rider's Championship and Padgett's winning the Team Championship again, they have now succeeded in doing the double three times. The podium tally could have been even higher had the Senior TT not been cancelled due to poor conditions for only the third time in its history.
In the Superstock class McGuinness finally filled one of the few gaps in his CV by winning the Royal London 360 TT to give Padgett's a record of 3 wins and 2 seconds from the last 5 Superstock races.
In the Supersport class it was Bruce Anstey who took the honours for the team making a top place record of 5 wins, 2 seconds and fourth in the last 8 600cc races. Anstey followed this up with a brilliant fourth in the second Supersport race, amazingly only 0.01s behind third place man Ryan Farquhar with McGuinness hot on their heels to take 5th. Anstey also added the third podium for the team in the Superbike race with Gary Johnson close behind in 5th.
At last Saturdays Danish Speedway GP, Jason Crump was back to his best with a storming win. Having suffered with injury for the last couple of seasons, the win was Jasons first for 2 years and means the 3 time world champ looks set to be right in the mix for a fourth crown this year. The next round is in Poland in less than 2 weeks so he will be looking to maintain his good form with another final appearance.
