Racing Update

With the racing season now underway we are delighted to report an excellent start to the season for the Rock supported teams. A special mention must go to long standing partners Padgetts Honda and their return to the premier class of BSB after a long hiatus.

padgetts thruxton_bsb_winThey marked their return with a BSB win with Ian Lowry at the second round at Thruxton last weekend and he currently heads the championship. A fantastic start to the season for both Padgetts and Ian.

Current EVO Superbike champions Team WFR Honda have made a slower start to the season but qualifying and lap times have seen them right up at the top of the listings so they are hopeful that podium finishes will come soon. Alex Lowes set the fastest lap at Thruxton, but the wrong tyre choice meant he was unable to convert this into a podium place. The team are confident that they will be challenging for honours sooner rather than later.

Both teams are also competing in the Red Bull Pro Nationals which starts at Landrake at the end of April.

Paul Edmondson’s Fast Eddy enduro team have made a fantastic start to the season with both Paul himself and Tom Sagar taking race wins across various championships. Tom is the current BEC champion and has made a great start to the 2012 season. After winning the first round of the BSEC and finishing second overall at the first round of the BEC.

With Rock having a major presence in both road and off road this year, 2012 looks set to be one of the best yet for Rock Oil supported teams.
