The BSB championship has now ended and we are pleased to announce that Glen Richards aboard the WFR Honda has won the EVO Superbike championship. Graeme Gowland also of WFR Honda finished second and but for missing some of the earlier rounds through injury would have very likely pushed Glen for the title. Graeme finished the season especially strongly and was mixing it with the full factory superbikes at the front of the grid for the last few rounds. With rule changes to the BSB coming in 2012, Team WFR should be well placed to be a major force in the full championship next season.
In the Supersport class Gearlink Kawasaki's Ben Wilson was pipped at the very final hurdle after leading the championship for most of the season. He lost the title by just one point after a terrific scrap over the 3 races at the final round at Brands Hatch. In spite of this the Rock supported team have had a brilliant season, with many wins and podiums and they will surely be going for the title in 2012.
We are pleased to announce Rock supported rider Aidan Collins recently claimed the British Shortrack title. Aidan is a new rider for us in 2011 and onboard his Plant Honda was the dominant rider throughout the year winning 4 out of 6 events.
Rock have had a great year on and off track and a full round up of the years racing will be in the next Rock Gossip out next month.
