New Blender Installed At Rock Print

Following the fire Rock suffered earlier this year, the blending capacity was reduced due to one of the blenders being damaged beyond repair. After extensive cleaning and repair to the area around the damaged blending vessel it was decided that a brand new blender would be purchased.



Retro fitting the new blender into the plant required significant time in the design room so that the blender could be fitted with minimal disruption to the plant. The proof of this design work was shown when the blender slotted into place with minimal fuss but at times only millimetres of space to spare.



The unit will now have to be fully integrated into the current blending operation. This should be completed by the end of the year and will be fully operational for the start of 2012. Whilst the fire was a very unwelcome event for the company, the actions of staff at the time and subsequent improvement works since, means that the blending operation will be significantly improved for the future.
